When It’s Time for Vitamin A
Vitamin A is a serious player in the wrinkle cream arena. As might be expected, each and every product claims to be the greatest in making wrinkles disappear. Actually, a lot of the use sneaky tricks to make you believe that they are working. These include adding small pieces of glitter to wrinkle removing creams. Glitter will actually cast the light out of the creases in your skin. This gives the illusion that your wrinkles have completely disappeared. Naturally, if you use these creams, when you wash your face you are washing away your younger looking skin.
Knowing all about vitamin A is very important in the anti-aging world. Another term for vitamin A is retinol. It is very good at getting rid of wrinkles. Sometimes it can take a few days or weeks to work. You should be worried. You will see a change soon enough.
Retinol is used because it causes your skin to stay elastic. Also, it can help your skin retain moisture. If you use enough it can even “plump” your wrinkles so that they are stretched tight and smoothed out.
However, retinol also has some associated complications that you need to be aware of. You will become very sensitive to the sun. You will become very sensitive to the sun when you are using vitamin A. Just walking around on sunny day can make you get a burn. You should always wear sunblock on your face if you don't want wrinkles.
In addition, retinol can create issues for people with very sensitive skin. Vitamin A has more effects than just the disappearance of wrinkles like dry skin. However, these are actually often found to be the results of “over-doing” the vitamin A treatments. If you are worried, then test your vitamin A product on the inside of your elbow. Place a small dab on there twice a day for a week. You are going to be fine if there isn't any redness or inflammation. But, you must watch your skin carefully to be sure you are okay.
Here is my final warning. Directions are meant to be followed. Vitamin A is not for people who just want to slather on any old moisturizer and feel good about “protecting” their skin. It is for people who don’t play around when it comes to beauty. Vitamin A, when used the right way, can permanently remove all wrinkles, most of the time.
