Waist Exercises For Stronger Abs
Sit ups and crunches are the most commonly used waist exercises for most people. While these exercises for the waist can be effective up to a point, they certainly are not the most productive stomach exercises to do.
An exercise ball can give your abs a great workout. You will need to take care in the beginning, as balancing yourself can be a little awkward.
Seat yourself on the ball and place your hands on the side. Then lean backwards and raise the legs. This is where you may find it difficult to balance. What happens here other areas of the stomach area come into play to help you stabilise your balance.
If this exercise was performed as normal on the ground, the stabilising muscles would not be targed. Then begin to move as if you were cycling. After a bit of practice you will be able to do this without your hands resting on the ball, this is a great exercise for your waist.
The next exercise will be like a normal crunch but also done with the use of an exercise ball. In this exercise you will sit on the ball and place your hands on your chest. Instead of lifting your body to the legs, you will lift the legs towards the body. Bring your knees towards your chest as you lean back.
Your problem of your balance would fall to the stabiliser muscles. Perform this exercise in a slow manner, and you will definitely start to feel the burn in your abs.
The thing to keep in mind is that you need to use waist exercises that are going to target different areas of the stomach. Doing this will ensure that your entire stomach area gets a good workout, and this will result in a far superior mid-section compared to just doing normal crunches and sit ups.
Apart from these 2, there are lots of other effective waist exercises which can give your stomach a tremendous workout. You have plenty of choice in regards to the amount of waist exercises available to you to develop abs.
