Smart And Cheap Ways To Exercise
Just the other day I saw this fancy new treadmill that my friend had bought. The machine has a number of advanced features. You can adjust the speed at which you run and can even listen to music to reduce the monotony of your workouts. The treadmill looks great and is well built. I am sure that it is a very expensive machine.
With a machine like that you have to buy a good pair of running shoes and a good looking tracksuit. He puts in a lot of time in cleaning the machine and makes sure that it is spotless. I have often seen him rubbing the fancy console to make sure that there are no marks. I think he uses the machine two or three times a week. He probably is intimidated by the machine and doesn’t use it everyday.
What is the point in buying such a fancy piece of equipment when you are not going to put it to use? Most of us think that there is no option other than treadmills, cross trainers or elliptical trainers if we want to begin an exercise regimen.
There are cheaper ways to exercise. These methods are not very expensive. Skipping rope is a great way to exercise. It is inexpensive. All you need to buy is a rope! Above all, it is a great way to get a cardiovascular workout. Running on a jogging track is in my opinion a better way to run, than on a treadmill, confined in your room. You get plenty of fresh air and sunshine in the bargain.
You could also consider buying a pair of dumbbells to exercise your upper body muscles. You can do a variety of exercises with a pair of dumbbells. You can get the cardiovascular exercise by running and skipping and dumbbells can help you to build muscle. A number of instructional DVDs are available, that can help you in workouts.
Interested in a really novel way to exercise? Do yourself a favor and go in for a complete home gym system designed around elastic bands. Read the review on the complete home gym based on the Bodylastics exercise bands. This system will provide you with a variety of workouts at a very reasonable price.
Quality of your workouts doesn’t necessarily depend upon the amount of money you spend. It depends more on you and your commitment levels and dedication to an exercise program.
