Love Handle Exercises – If Side Bends Don't Work – What Will?

Do any search on the net and you'll hit a million websites that will promise to strip that fat from your love handles. Sadly most of it's just fluff & rubbish. Usually setup to try and sell you some expensive equipment or diet pills.

The side bend is the usual suspect in the exercise for love handles category. You hold something above your head, usually a broom handle or stick and then lean or bend left, then right. Then repeat, repeatedly. Get real! It would be nice if they actually worked.

They will not work if you are just targeting one particular area. Just doing one area will have no effect whatsoever 99% of the time. Lots of people and websites will tell you otherwise though. Of course they work, but only when they are part of a complete system. Not just targeting one area.

If you do side bends as part of a thorough workout then they will work. If your workout is also part of an all round system you could double your results. It's a well known (but ignored) fact that to lose weight you simply need to consume less energy than you burn off.

Energy consumption simply means what you eat. Burning energy off is done simply by activity or exercise. Exercise can be any form of activity that burns calories.

This could be walking, swimming, running, weightlifting or even sex. The last one sounds good to me! Any exercise at all is better than no exercise at all. The reason why people are getting fatter is they don't burn off the calories that they eat.

You can exercise for your love handles all you want but if you ignore other areas you will simply get nowhere fast. If you hate the sound of exercise consider swimming. I go swimming a lot and it's a great all round workout and it isn't taxing on your joints. If you can get to a swimming pool you should. It's gentle and has great benefits for you.

I personally turn my nose up at jogging. I see no point in spending hours in pain and shortening the life of your knees. You know the guy who made jogging famous collapsed and died while out jogging? Ironically discovered by two smokers walking past.

If you are serious about your shape then you need to get yourself an all round system to follow. Not some new fancy fad diet but a solid system that's proven to work and isn't too harsh as to turn you off completely. I've reviewed the (probably) best five methods out there at this website…
