Intentionally Lose Muscle

I am pretty certain that it is Politically Incorrect To Say "Lose Muscle"

I'm convinced that it's politically incorrect to talk about 'losing muscle'. The preferred term is to 'slim down'. I am as much to blame as the next person. I just think that people don't address the subject properly. For some, it makes perfect sense for them to try to lose muscle because they want to.

Isn't As Much Muscle As Possible Supposed To Be Gained?"

I hear people talking about losing fat, or losing weight, but rarely about losing muscle. If the term "lose muscle" is used, it is always used as a negative. According to almost all of the information that the media provides, more muscle is preferred to less muscle.

Dropping Twentyfive Pounds of Muscle

In my case, I spent over twelve years with a workout designed to make me as huge as I could be. I quickly grew tired of dragging that extra weight around; I couldn't find appropriate clothing, and I always felt slow. I also realized that it wasn't an attractive look and being that large made it look like I was trying too hard. After realizing this, I took a year to 'slim down'. I've been carrying around much less muscle these past nine years and I look and feel better than ever. This is my strategy.

Dropping Resistance Training : Legs

Since I always thought it very important to train my lower body as well as my upper, this decision was difficult for me to make. The problem is that if your legs are big, almost any resistance style exercise is going to help you maintain that size. I tried light weights or just doing things like lunges. Low repetition training also works well. For the most part, low rep training isn't known to enhance the size of muscle a lot, but when it comes to legs, one has to be careful.

Marathon Cardio is the Best Way to Lose Muscle

If you've decided to try to lose your muscle mass, you should try 'Marathon Cardio' exercises. Use a treadmill to do a steady, medium or high intensity cardio workout for a relatively long period of time. Shoot for about an hour, and at a rate and period of time that your body is comfortable with. Boxers usually use marathon cardio to get to their appropriate weights. They basically call it "road work", but it involves long periods of running at a pretty high intensity level.

A Calorie Deficit and Low Calorie Diet Will Speed Up the Process

Don't go too extreme here, but it certainly doesn't hurt to go low-cal during this period of time. It's also smart to reduce calories every once in a while in your regular diet, as it allows your digestive system to detoxify itself and recuperate. To do this, start exercising on an empty stomach, and avoid eating until around two hours after your workout to eat again.
